Garden Sheds are built using the same base as an A-Frame, but with a steeper roof pitch and sturdy hurricane ties. This simple change opens up a world of possibilities, as the Garden Shed is one of our most customizable styles.

About the Garden Shed

The Garden Shed is similar to the A-Frame, and is a popular choice for customers looking for a timeless design but wanting to stay within a limited budget. But we often hear from our customers that the Garden Shed offers a style that is irresistible.

That’s why we think our Garden Shed has great potential for flexibility of use – whether you want a potting shed, art studio, or perhaps just a secluded backyard hideaway to get away from it all. It’s up to you.

Like the A-Frame, the Garden Shed sports a peaked roof. The Garden Shed roof has a steeper pitch and larger 8” overhangs, however. Hurricane straps are also added to each rafter for increased durability in stormier climates.

As with all of our sheds, the Garden Shed is fully customizable. You can choose from extensive siding, shingle, window, and shutter options to create exactly what you want and need.

And you will enjoy this shed for years to come! All of our sheds are covered by a five-year guarantee against manufacturer defects.

Roof: 2×4 rafters 16 in. “on center” (OC) with 1/2″ exterior-grade TechShield sheeting with lifetime (limited) architectural asphalt shingles. 7/12 Roof Pitch
Walls: 2×4 studs 16 in. OC. 6’6” High Walls
Floor: 2×4 pressure-treated floor joists 16 in. OC with 5/8″ exterior-grade plywood over 4×4 pressure-treated runners
Doors: Double Doors with Sill Protector
Windows: Two Vertical slider windows come with screens and window trim or shutters

While the above specifications are standard across all of our structures, there are many opportunities to customize your Amish-built shed to ‘make it yours.’

For the roof, consider a dormer or cupola to give your outdoor building a unique look.
Opt for a cedar shake, ribbed metal or standing-seam metal roof to further customize its appearance.
We offer a plethora of siding options including beaded vinyl, HardiePlank, board-and-batten, and cedar shake.
Window options include insulated, wood sash, arched wood sash and transom windows.
Even the window shutters are customizable: choose from wood slat, vinyl raised panel or vinyl louvered options.
